Before studying Zen, men are men and mountains are mountains. Am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?
Cultivate in yourself a good similarity with the chaos of the surrounding ether. Life is the sum total of all the little things that happen.
In Zen they say: If something is boring after two minutes, try it for four. At the same time, what concerns me now is quantity.
People are always saying that the East is the East and the West is the West and you have to keep from mixing them up. But consider, my dear, how dull life would be without a little uncertainty in it.
-Satoshi Kinoshita (inspired by John Cage), 2004.
Beware of the artist who's an intellectual also. The artist who doesn't fit.
